Site Services Team Leader – Engineering
Spalding – Salary £37k – £40k depending on experience

As a market leader in their field, our client is keen to stay ahead of the curve within the manufacturing environment they operate in.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will ensure that both production and energy reduction targets are met using the appropriate technical support in the identification, correction, prevention and elimination of technical problems.
You would be expected to successfully lead large capital projects whilst managing a small team of engineers and contractors visiting site. Through continuous improvement you will be responsible for driving the change from a “repair culture” to an “improvement culture”, enhancing equipment performance and reliability.
You must be experienced in either electrical or refrigeration and must be competent in mechanical disciplines. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of site services, including steam and air generation, refrigeration, water and effluent management and electrical distribution.
A formal engineering apprenticeship and relevant academic qualifications to suit your experience is essential for this role.
You will be required to demonstrate extensive knowledge of both Health and Safety and environmental regulations. Experience within the food industry is not essential however due to the nature of the business this would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be an all-round engineering professional with experience within a similar environment and with the ambition to forge a career within a market leading global company.
What we’re looking for:
- Through continuous improvement, drive the move from a ‘repair culture’ to an ‘improvement culture’, enhancing equipment performance and reliability by developing technical skills and knowledge
- Deputise for the Engineering Manager
- Full and appropriate levels of electrical, mechanical and PLC certification required, which is to be supported by practical ability and actions and assessment as and when required
- Competent IT/Computer skills
