Facilities Management

​Facility management,[1] or facilities management, (FM) is a professional management discipline focused on the efficient and effective delivery of logistics and other support services related to real property, it encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality, comfort, safety and efficiency of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology, as defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The profession is certified through Global Facility Management Association (Global FM) member organizations.

Since 2009, Global FM has sponsored an annual World Facilities Management Day, "World FM Day".[2]

​Scunthorpe (/ˈskʌnθɔːrp/) is a large market and industrial town in the North Lincolnshire borough in Lincolnshire, England. It is the administrative centre of the North Lincolnshire unitary authority, and had an estimated total resident population of 82,334 according to the 2016 census.[dubious – discuss] A predominantly industrial town, Scunthorpe, the United Kingdom's largest steel processing centre, is also known as the "Industrial Garden Town".[2][3] It is the third largest settlement in Lincolnshire, after Lincoln and Grimsby. The Member of Parliament for Scunthorpe is Holly Mumby-Croft, of the Conservatives.
