Gardeningis the practice of growing and cultivating plants as part ofhorticulture. Gardening ranges in scale from fruit orchards, to long boulevard plantings with one or more different types ofshrubs,trees, andherbaceous plants, to residentialback gardensincluding lawns and foundation plantings, and tocontainer gardensgrown inside or outside. Gardening may be very specialized, with only one type of plant grown, or involve a variety of plants in mixed plantings. It involves an active participation in the growing of plants, and tends to be labor-intensive, which differentiates it fromfarmingorforestry
Malvern Hills is a local government district in Worcestershire, England. Its council is based in the town of Malvern, and its area covers most of the western half of the county, including the small towns of Tenbury and Upton. It was originally formed in 1974 and was subject to a significant boundary reform in 1998. In the 2011 census the population of the Malvern Hills district was 74,631.
