Grounds Technician
A Grounds Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving outdoor spaces, including parks, sports fields, and other landscaped areas. Here are some of their key duties:
Landscaping: Planting, cultivating, and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns 1.
Irrigation Systems: Installing, maintaining, and repairing automatic and manual watering systems 1.
Grounds Maintenance: Mowing, trimming, edging, and fertilizing lawns; removing debris and leaves 1.
Safety Inspections: Identifying and mitigating safety hazards to ensure a safe environment 1.
Equipment Operation: Using and maintaining groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, blowers, trimmers, and snowplows 2.
Event Preparation: Setting up and taking down facilities for events, including marking athletic fields 1
