Lead Chef

​A Lead Chef is a senior culinary professional who typically oversees a specific section of the kitchen or leads the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef or Executive Chef. The title can vary depending on the establishment, and in some kitchens, it may be used interchangeably with Sous Chef or Senior Chef.

Key Responsibilities of a Lead Chef

1. Team Leadership

Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team during service

Delegate tasks and ensure smooth workflow

Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff

2. Food Preparation and Quality

Prepare and cook dishes to high standards

It is located on the North Sea coastline. Historically in the North Riding of Yorkshire, the town lies between 10 and 230 feet (3–70 m) above sea level, from the harbour rising steeply north and west towards limestone cliffs. The older part of the town lies around the harbour and is protected by a rocky headland which extends into the North Sea.
