What does a legal assistant do?
A legal assistant provides administrative and clerical support to facilitate a lawyer's day-to-day work and support their caseload. For this role, the exact duties can vary according to the size and organisational hierarchy of the firm or legal practice. A legal assistant's role may involve working alongside one legal professional in a single practice or as part of a larger legal team for a law firm, company or government agency.
