QA, Purchasing and Logistics Manager – Melton Mowbray

Melton Mowbray. £32k – £36k Depending on experience

We have a fantastic opportunity to work at a brand new fabrication and welding facility in a forward thinking telecoms company in a growing sector.

This is a hybrid role for a QA, Purchasing or Logistics professional with experience in the fabrication / telecoms infrastructure / steelwork sectors.

You will join an extremely well established and growing business at an exciting time, following a period of significant investment.

Our client is looking for a QA, Purchasing and Logistics Manager with leadership skills who will work alongside the Operations Manager at their new fabrication facility.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Control of route card paperwork for the shop floor
  • Fabrication management including workloads, fabrication schedules, fabrication inspection
  • Initiation of current and new fabrication processes
  • Maintaining stock levels of consumables
  • Planning of galvanising and powder coating
  • New contract implementation
  • Control of staff working hours and training needs
  • Initiation of new machinery requirements
  • Ordering of materials and consumables
  • Control of PO system for all items purchased
  • Booking of any required transport

You will be working in a busy, successful and tight knit team, in a fantastic working environment that uses leading edge technology and lean practices.

The successful QA, Purchasing and Logistics Manager should be motivated, used to leading a small team, and comfortable organising work schedules.

Working hours will be 7.30am to 4.00pm.
