An opportunity now exists for an Engineering Project Manager – Aerospace to join one of their dynamic teams based in Nottingham in a key role.

Aerospace engineering design and development is an exciting and highly innovative sector for my client.

The role will be based at our client’s state of the offices and innovation centre in a stunning central location, where they design state of the art engineering and develop new capabilities and software.

We are looking for a can-do individual to challenge the norm and drive client requirements to a new level. You will be a fast, methodical thinker who thrives on pressure and will shatter expectations.

You will assume the responsibility to challenge your team to deliver best in class solutions by being one step ahead.

They seek to recruit an accomplished Engineering Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of new product introduction and any other associated customer projects.

Working closely with the customer base and a group of sub-contract suppliers, the Engineering Project Manager will plan the workload and resource for a team of experienced engineers, ensuring all projects are delivered in line with KPIs, all the time promoting a positive culture within the team.

What we’re looking for


  • Degree level qualification in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred, though not essential
  • Experience delivering new product introductions through an engineering team
  • Experience in delivering cap ex justifications
  • Experienced in project management, working on several projects concurrently, and using tools such as GANTT charts, MS Project, MS Excel for successful planning and execution
  • Familiar with working to structured, gated processes to deliver NPI (APQP, FMEA, PFMEA, PPAP) for aerospace and automotive industries
  • Project management qualification (Prince2, PMP or equivalent)
  • Supply chain management & negotiation experience, eg contracts
  • Aerospace domain delivery experience gained with global OEM or Tier 1 (ideal)

Importantly, we seek an excellent people manager who will coach and mentor to deliver exceptional results and senior Engineering professional who shows excellent project planning skills, strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, who has excellent customer focus, and who will routinely solve problems at root cause and consistently seek to improve processes.

You will work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, with on time delivery and optimum quality always being the key objective and at the heart of all decisions.
