Finance Director – Nottingham

Nottingham – salary depending on experience

We have a rare opportunity to take on a new Financial Director role which will be key to my client’s business and growth plans.

The Company is highly entrepreneurial, fast paced and ambitious and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to take the lead finance role as well as actively contributing to the strategic plan.

If you’re a hungry, ambitious and career driven financial professional, then we’d like to hear from you.

This is a new chapter for this niche business as they embark on a period of significant UK and international growth and the successful FD candidate will be key in all aspects.

Responsibilities will cover the full gambit of finance responsibilities, from oversight of all day to day reporting requirements through to regulatory reporting, FP&A and involvement in a raft of more commercial and strategic projects.

It’s likely you’ll be an experienced financial controller, head of finance or finance director looking for your first meaty role or equivalent with a wide breath of experience to draw from.

The Finance Director will be someone who enjoys managing and leading a small finance team, with this role responsible for mentoring, coaching and developing an existing team of qualified and part qualified accountants.

Their preference is for someone coming from a smaller to medium sized business with exposure to asset management or similar and this is key given the size of the business.

The ideal FD candidate may have a combination of origination and execution experience of asset finance loans in the UK, including block discounting, lease receivables, structured asset finance, a strong network of intermediaries in this sector and very strong credit skills and will be comfortable presenting to investors.

This role is looking to make a speedy hire before the year is out – to start early next year – so please get in touch if you’re keen to be considered.

All applications will of course be treated as strictly confidential.

Salary dependent on experience.
