Housing Retrofit Programme Lead
A Housing Retrofit Programme Lead is a senior role responsible for overseeing large-scale retrofit initiatives aimed at improving the energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability of housing stock—typically within a local authority, housing association, or government-funded programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Leadership
Lead the strategic planning and delivery of housing retrofit programmes.
Ensure alignment with national and local energy efficiency targets (e.g. net zero, EPC improvements).
Stakeholder Management
Engage with internal teams, contractors, residents, and funding bodies.
Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory authorities.
Funding and Compliance
Secure and manage funding streams (e.g. Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund, ECO4).
Ensure compliance with standards such as PAS 2035 and other retrofit frameworks.
Project Oversight
Oversee multiple retrofit projects across different housing estates or regions.
Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure quality assurance.
Resident Engagement
Develop communication strategies to inform and support residents throughout retrofit works.
Address concerns and ensure minimal disruption during installations.
Performance Monitoring
Track energy savings, carbon reductions, and other KPIs.
Report outcomes to senior leadership and funding bodies.
