The UK Account Manager will be responsible for managing long-standing customer relationships, ensuring continued satisfaction and identifying growth opportunities within each account.
With regular travel across the UK and a hybrid working arrangement, this role combines autonomy, variety and the opportunity to directly influence revenue and retention.
Account Manager Key Responsibilities -
Manage and develop existing customer accounts, ensuring exceptional service and support
Conduct regular on-site visits to client locations across the UK (3 days per week travel expected)
Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within current accounts
Prepare technical proposals and tailored quotations aligned to customer requirements
Provide product advice, drawing on engineering knowledge to recommend solutions
Collaborate with internal teams to support order processing and delivery tracking
Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and generate account activity reports
Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives as needed
What We're Looking For -
Proven experience in account management or sales engineering within the construction or engineering sectors
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers
Technical aptitude, ideally with experience reading technical drawings or working with engineered products
Confident managing the full sales process from quotation to post-sale support
Highly organised and proactive, with excellent time management skills
Comfortable working independently on the road and collaboratively as part of a wider team
Competent in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
Full UK driving licence is essential
