About the Role

A long-established and respected procurement-led business specialising in providing high-quality solutions to the engineering and construction sectors are recruiting for a UK Account Manager.

With a proven track record and a loyal client base, the company is known for its technical expertise, strong customer relationships and tailored approach to service delivery.

The Account Management team operates with a collaborative and ethical culture, encouraging innovation, professional growth and long-term client partnerships.

This is a vital account management position focused on strengthening and growing the company's UK client base.

The UK Account Manager will be responsible for managing long-standing customer relationships, ensuring continued satisfaction and identifying growth opportunities within each account.

With regular travel across the UK and a hybrid working arrangement, this role combines autonomy, variety and the opportunity to directly influence revenue and retention.

Account Manager Key Responsibilities -

  • Manage and develop existing customer accounts, ensuring exceptional service and support

  • Conduct regular on-site visits to client locations across the UK (3 days per week travel expected)

  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within current accounts

  • Prepare technical proposals and tailored quotations aligned to customer requirements

  • Provide product advice, drawing on engineering knowledge to recommend solutions

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support order processing and delivery tracking

  • Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and generate account activity reports

  • Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For -

  • Proven experience in account management or sales engineering within the construction or engineering sectors

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers

  • Technical aptitude, ideally with experience reading technical drawings or working with engineered products

  • Confident managing the full sales process from quotation to post-sale support

  • Highly organised and proactive, with excellent time management skills

  • Comfortable working independently on the road and collaboratively as part of a wider team

  • Competent in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms

  • Full UK driving licence is essential
