You will take ownership of project documentation, document registers, transmittals, submissions, revisions and document control processes, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, clients, suppliers and third-party stakeholders.
This role would suit an experienced Document Controller, Project Document Controller, Technical Administrator, Engineering Administrator or Project Administrator with experience handling technical documentation, drawings, specifications, datasheets or project documentation.

The Role
As Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing, tracking and controlling project documentation across multiple engineering projects.
You will ensure all documentation is accurate, traceable, correctly issued and returned in line with project requirements, while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, clients, vendors and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing incoming and outgoing project documentation
Preparing and issuing document transmittals, cover sheets and submission packs
Maintaining project document registers and revision control
Tracking document status, client comments, approvals and resubmissions
Ensuring documentation is submitted accurately and on time
Expediting documents from suppliers, clients and internal teams
Maintaining electronic and hard copy document control systems
Managing version control, naming conventions and document numbering
Supporting Project Managers with document status updates and reporting
Coordinating final documentation packs for project close-out
Supporting internal and external audits
Ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, compliant and fully traceable
About You
You will need to be an experienced Document Controller with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of technical documentation.
You will ideally have:
Previous document control experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction, power, energy, oil and gas, industrial or technical projects
Experience managing technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, datasheets and project documents
Experience using document management systems
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Word
Experience using PDF software such as Adobe or Foxit
Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail
Confident written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
Strong stakeholder management skills with clients, suppliers and internal teams
A proactive, accurate and professional approach
Important Information
This is a fully office-based role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Candidates must be within a realistic daily commute of the Stamford / Rutland / Lincolnshire area.
Due to the urgent nature of the requirement, this role is best suited to candidates who are immediately available or on a shorter notice period. Candidates on a long notice period may not be suitable for this particular vacancy.
