Derby - Salary £25, 000 pro rata (6 months FTC)
Our client is a prominent player in the rail industry.
We are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a Fixed Term Contract.
This is a full time position with immediate start available (following suitability checks).
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Finance Assistant will assist with the day to day management of the Finance Team.
Responsibilities:
•Daily checking of the train running log to ascertain work which requires invoicing
•Obtaining purchase orders from commercial managers/customers
•Processing all sales ledger invoices
•Dealing with customer queries
•Processing all purchase ledger invoices
•Preparation of weekly and monthly reports
•General ledger work (reconciliations and posting journals)
•Processing prepayments/accruals
What we’re looking for:
•Good knowledge and experience of using Sage 50 is essential
•Highly organised and have a high level of attention to detail
•Strong IT skills for data entry are essential and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
