Due to the company’s continued Private Equity backed success and growth, I am recruiting a Fire and Security Systems Design Manager for their design department in Mansfield.

They're a forward-thinking and well renowned independent Security and Communications Company operating across the UK.

The Fire and Security Systems Design Manager in driving digital transformation and integration across the life safety, security and communications industry.

The Design Manager will report into the Head of Design and work in a highly professional design team for my client’s customers, who include universities, estates, homes, public spaces and the Armed Forces.

For the right candidate, the role of Design Manager be a starting point and that having proven their ability they could progress eventually to a Head of Design role. You will be assisted by an Assistant Design Manager.

What will you be doing?

  • The Fire and Security Systems Design Manager a team of Design Consultants and CAD Operatives

  • You'll act as a senior design authority for the Company

  • Be responsible for the preparation of designs, proposals, technical submittals, drawings and quotations

  • Whilst ensuring designs fully comply with all applicable regulations and standards

  • And verify and sign-off design team output

What we’re looking for

  • The Fire and Security Systems Design Manager will be an accomplished designer within the fire, security or similar industry

  • An accomplished designer with a proven track record of producing designs and quotations

  • Knowledge of CDM (2015), PD6662, NCP104, NCP109, BS8243, BS60839-11-2, BS50173-2, Equality Act 2010, Building Regulations, Secure by Design and relevant Codes of Practice

  • Possess commercial acumen and contract awareness with keen interest in technology and innovation
