We are working with a forward-thinking and well renowned independent Security and Communications Company operating across the UK who are recruiting for a Health and Safety Coordinator.
My client is NSI Gold and BAFE accredited and specialises in driving digital transformation and integration across the life safety, security and communications industry.
They specialise in driving digital transformation and integration across the life safety, security and communications industry across universities, public spaces and the Armed Forces.
Due to the company’s continued success and continued growth, they are looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator to add to their Health and Safety Management Team in their Head Office located in Mansfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Health and Safety Coordinator to become a valued member our clients Health and Safety Team, who are working towards Health and Safety 45001 accreditation.
Health and Safety Coordinator role has scope for development within a dynamic and growing business and would suit a person that wants to further their career in Health and Safety and Environmental Management.
What you will be doing:
Working with and maintaining the management systems for Health and Safety processes with the support from our Health and Safety Consultants
Co-ordinate the Health and Safety system to obtain accreditation to ISO 45001
Deliver Health and Safety bulletins and instructions across the business and be part of the Company’s Safety Panel
Implement and improve the Health and Safety/Environmental Management Systems
Organise and assist with environmental audits for site and internal processes
Report audit findings to the Management Team; prepare audit reports and non-conformity reports where appropriate
Provide information and instruction to engineers and project managers
Support the documentation of policies, processes, procedures for the Health and Safety Management System and maintain/update as required
Liaise with the HR department so they can update individual training records
Confidently lead and take responsibility for third-party audits
What you need?
Experience of working in a similar role is preferable
Awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
Good understanding of administration and the office environment generally
Although Health and Safety/Environmental qualifications are desirable, full training will be provided
Experience in implementing, maintaining, auditing, and improving quality, environmental and health, safety management systems
Confident interaction using written and verbal communications, together with accurate capture and timely effective closure of actions
Proficient in MS Office
Valid Driving Licence, as some business travel will be required on occasion
