My client is a high-profile UK charity that is currently going through a period of significant IT transformation and is keen to invest in further training and ongoing professional development for the right Junior IT Project Manager candidate.

We are looking for someone with an ambitious and inquisitive mind who possesses the ability to juggle numerous minor projects and is looking for an opportunity to develop their IT skills into a project development role.

The Junior IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing small technology-based changes as well as small to medium projects through the full project lifecycle from initiation to BAU handover.

What you'll be doing:

  • End-to-end delivery of small technology-based changes ad projects from business case through to delivery, testing, handover and go-live/support documentation.

  • Managing project budgets including forecasting

  • Working closely with the PMO to ensure all project reporting timescales are met, within the agreed governance structure, and the required level of quality and consistency is maintained across all projects.

  • Ensure that projects are initiated and delivered on time; those projects are appropriately resourced with the right skills and that all stakeholders relating to a project are identified and engaged with appropriately.

  • Work with the Solutions Delivery and Operations Teams to ensure that handover to BAU is successfully executed and that benefits realisation occurs.

  • Ensure best practices are adhered to and adopted

  • Contribute and participate in the Digital Enablement Board Meeting as and when needed.

  • Work closely with internal customers and Digital Enablement colleagues to help facilitate successful change.

  • Take responsibility for project budgets, ensuring cost-effective, value for money methods, resources and solutions are utilised

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in working in an Agile environment

  • Data Analyst experience and PMO experience

  • Experienced in managing technology-based small changes

  • Experienced in applying and completing project governance e.g., RAID, RACI, Highlight reports, project plans etc...

  • Previous experience in managing budgets

  • Understanding of how to define and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies within and between projects.

  • Someone with excellent communication and engagement skills as well as negotiation and collaboration skills, with proven ability to secure a commitment from individuals.
