Great opportunity for the key role of Network Operations Manager responsible for the NOC and the field technical support teams.
My client is revolutionising the full-fibre broadband network with a category-leading brand, next-generation technology, differentiated, supported by global suppliers including Nokia, Linksys, Fujikura and Salesforce.
This role is WFH and my client’s initial roll out over the last 18 months has been across East Anglia, the East of England and East Midlands.
The Network Operations Manager will be at the heart of leading and evolving the NOC and technical field ops functions, reporting directly into the Operations Director and working alongside the Heads of Customer Services and Field Engineering Operations.
You’ll be responsible for major incident management, leading war room and seeing through the problem management process, leading timely mitigation actions and driving root cause analysis.
The Network Operations Manager is responsible for the Technical Field Ops Teams, who perform regular maintenance of all PoP (point of presence) sites and Data Centres.
Their founders are all highly successful British entrepreneurs with significant expertise in large infrastructure projects. The Board is made up of very senior British, European and US Directors.

What you'll need to succeed
Above all else, you'll need the personality to fit into a business with serious growth ambition and the desire to develop the NOC Infrastructure in-line with the company expansion.
Experience in developing and leading a Network Operations Team would be ideal as you will be building on the existing NOC and Technical Operations Team as the company grows.
Of course, you'll also need top class technical ability and so the following are required:
· Experience in developing and leading a NOC Team
· Excellent knowledge of networking, including physical, switching, routing, transport layers and firewalls
· Experience with customer facing service delivery
· Strong analytical and data presentation skills & ability to report on service performance
This role would also suit a strong 2nd Line Analyst seeking an excellent progression opportunity or an existing NOC Engineer looking for a move into an exciting start-up environment in a managerial role.
