Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a new opportunity to work for a fantastic local family business? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Our client is looking for a proactive, driven, and enthusiastic experienced Bookkeeper to join their business to help with day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting, and administrative duties.

As Bookkeeper, you will conduct day to day maintenance of Purchase Ledger; manage supplier payments, client receipts and bank account reconciliations; monitor and forecast the company’s weekly cashflow; manage monthly payroll and year-end reporting, and produce the annual company budget.

The successful candidate will maintain accounting records, prepare, and submit VAT returns and preparing month-end and year-end accounts and keep fully up to date with professional developments. 

What we’re looking for:

  • Experienced Bookkeeper, preferably with a professional qualification but not essential.

  • Proactive and enthusiastic individual

  • Capable of taking responsibility for the finance function of the company.

  • Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts & Sage Payroll essential

  • Experience with property management and in the real estate industry

  • Good computer skills, including familiarisation with spreadsheets and accounting software such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

  • Good interpersonal skills

Working hours for this role can be flexible and there is an option to work partly from home as well as in the office.
