This is an exciting time to join my client as an Engineering Production Manager! With the expansion of their site and the addition of a new production line, they have fantastic opportunities within their growing team.
As the Engineering Production Manager, you’ll lead the shift engineering teams, driving site performance (OEE) through continuous improvement and delivering a high-quality maintenance programme, all while managing spend within the agreed budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop shift engineering teams to achieve operational goals.
Develop and deliver an OEE improvement programme with a focus on machine availability and operating speed.
Manage the maintenance budget, overhead spend, and engineering headcount.
Develop and implement reporting systems for agreed KPIs, ensuring CI delivery is driven by performance data.
Improve and deliver the site maintenance programme, including PPM schedules, service contracts, and statutory inspections.
Oversee the operationalisation of new lines and equipment as they are introduced to the site.
Focus on PPM delivery, continuous improvement, and OEE metrics such as machine availability, uptime, and line speed.
Manage and lead the team, focusing on attendance, performance, and development.
What We’re Looking For:
HND or HNC certifications in an engineering discipline.
Bachelor’s, MBA, or Master’s degree in engineering-related fields.
Ideally, a mechanical or electrical engineer.
Proven engineering management experience within the food industry or similar fast paced environment .
A strong track record of delivering continuous improvement and long-term performance enhancements.
Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
Highly technical and analytical with proven people management skills.
