We are working exclusively with a leading manufacturer and installer of playing surfaces including artificial and natural sports turf.
They are a company who specialise in constructing and maintaining high level Sport and School facilities and are currently looking for ground maintenance operatives with general horticultural knowledge.
We are looking for people with experience in either Landscaping, Grounds Maintenance or Agriculture.
You will be assisting in the maintenance, development and improvement of all surfaces our client provides for their huge clientele to FIFA & IRB standards.
The successful Grounds Maintenance candidate will need to be flexible as you will be required to travel to sites across the UK and some overnight stays (average 4 nights per month) will be required.
Responsible for mainly driving the tractor, operating mechanical brushing and cleaning equipment, line marking and a range of skilled artificial surface and general duties in schools, universities, play areas, and other sports facilities.
What we’re looking for:
• PA1 and PA6 Pesticide or relevant experience
• Understanding of basic horticultural machinery (strimmer to compact tractors & mowers etc)
• Clean driving license - Experience on towing or B+E (D)
• Great attention to detail as accuracy is vital
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work on your own initiative
• Able to complete site management reports and discuss requirements with clients
It would be ideal if you have experience of working in a similar sports maintenance environment or with relevant tractor driving experience.
Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on experience and what you can bring to the Company.
