Rare opportunity for an experienced sales engineer, ideally with experience in the agriculture, heavy machinery, water or similar industries, to work with a Caribbean client base.

The Technical / Inside Sales Engineer will be responsible for working with the outside sales team and Caribbean Sales Reps as a technical advisor and product advocate. You’ll be the primary engineering support resource for customers remotely, such as over the phone and by email.

In this hybrid or office based role in Newark, you’ll be working for a very well-established engineering procurement and export business for their overseas client base in the Caribbean Region.

My client, founded over 40 years ago, sources and exports equipment and parts to the Electrical & Power, Construction, Agriculture, Water & Sewerage, Airport & Seaport Equipment sectors.

These items, which could range from an actual JCB or Massey Ferguson to a spare part for a water pump are sourced by my client for the Caribbean customers and exported to them.

The Sales Engineer is the subject matter expert on the equipment and parts exported and advises my client ad their customers on the technical side with regards motors, compressors, generators, general machine maintenance etc.

Joining at a time of growth for my client, the Technical Sales Engineer will also be identifying opportunities, providing support, managing customer accounts and providing a technical capability in their given country.

Some travel to the Caribbean will be required one or twice a year and there is an option of hybrid and flexible working for the right Sales Engineer candidate.

You should have experience in a client-facing sales engineer position or a sales professional with significant experience in an engineering environment.
