About the Welding Robot Operator Role

This is more than just welding—it’s about combining craftsmanship with technology. As a Welding Robot Operator, you’ll be trained to use collaborative robotic welding equipment while bringing your fabrication skills to complex builds and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate robotic welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components (training provided)

  • Perform MIG welding with precision, following project specs and technical drawings

  • Use hand tools and machinery to cut, shape, and finish metal parts

  • Read blueprints and interpret work instructions accurately

  • Carry out regular quality checks on finished products to meet industry standards

  • Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines without compromising quality

  • Follow strict health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organised work area

  • Assist with material handling and ensure parts are stored and managed correctly

What We’re Looking For

  • Hands-on MIG welding experience is essential

  • Previous experience operating robot welders is ideal—but not required (full training provided)

  • Strong mechanical understanding and tooling knowledge

  • Ability to interpret drawings, follow instructions, and work to exacting standards

  • Skilled in using hand tools and fabrication equipment

  • Problem-solving mindset and confidence to troubleshoot minor issues

  • A proactive, reliable attitude and a genuine passion for quality work
