Our client is an international leader in the development of cutting edge products deployed across a wide range of airborne platforms for Aerospace and Defence customers.

They now have an opportunity for a Security Systems Engineer join them in the East Midlands.

Our fast growing client are a close- knit, skilled design team working at the cutting edge of developments.

Key aspects of the role will include conducting security-risk analysis on aviation mission support systems, including, maintenance and production of IA documentation and review of system architectures against security standards and organisational compliance.

We are looking for a Security Systems Engineer with experience in critical systems engineering and must be motivated by the challenge of analysing complex systems in order to identify and control risks in these areas.

What we’re looking for

  • A degree in an engineering subject (IT, systems engineering, electronic engineering, software engineering or numerate discipline)
  • Evidence of related engineering experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, current National Cyber Security Centre risk management principles or its predecessor
  • An understanding of the impact of security to system architecture
  • Knowledge of current information security management principles
  • Understanding of the impact security has in the software design process
  • Knowledge and experience of stakeholder management within the Defence domain
  • Experience in working within software intensive systems
