We are working exclusively with a forces friendly organisation based in stunning surroundings located approximately between Leicester and Peterborough.
They are currently looking for a Corporate Health and Safety Advisor to take to lead on all H&S matters across their diverse organisation and business operations.
Please note that this not a “hands on” role rather an opportunity for a forward thinking and commercially minded H&S professional to influence how my client does health and safety.
You will own their Health & Safety Management regime and ensure its’ effective implementation across the organisation.
The successful H&S candidate will act as the statutory ‘competent person’ for the purposes of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and provide accurate, considered and up to date occupational safety and health advice and guidance across all corporate functions.
The Corporate Health and Safety Advisor will also design and deliver appropriate training.
What we’re looking for:
- You are NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) qualified
- Experience in providing safety support
- Experience of assessing risk and recommending practical responses and control measures
- Able to develop and undertake health and safety audits and inspections
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Friendly, confident and assertive
- Good communication and people skills
