Decarbonisation Project Manager

​A Decarbonisation Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions across buildings, infrastructure, or operations. This role is central to helping organisations meet net zero or carbon neutrality goals, often within the context of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

Plan, execute, and oversee decarbonisation projects from concept to completion.

Manage timelines, budgets, and resources across multiple workstreams.

Carbon Reduction Strategy

Develop and implement strategies to reduce carbon emissions in line with organisational or governmental targets.

Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, electrification, renewable energy integration, and behavioural change.

Technical Oversight

Work with engineers, consultants, and contractors to assess and implement low-carbon technologies.

Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. PAS 2035, ISO 50001, or local building codes).

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and community stakeholders.

Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes clearly and effectively.

Monitoring and Reporting

Track emissions reductions and project performance using tools like carbon accounting software.

Report progress to senior leadership, funders, or regulatory bodies.

Funding and Policy Alignment

Secure funding through grants, incentives, or partnerships.

Ensure alignment with national and local decarbonisation policies and frameworks.
