Dual Fuel Engineer
A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Technician is responsible for installing, exchanging, and maintaining both gas and electric smart meters in various premises. Here are some key duties and responsibilities:
Installation and Exchange: Safely installing and exchanging smart meters using handheld devices 1 2.
Testing and Maintenance: Conducting prescribed testing procedures and ongoing maintenance of smart metering systems 2.
Customer Service: Providing tailored energy efficiency advice and explaining how smart meters work to customers 2.
Administrative Tasks: Completing all associated administrative work 1.
Safety Compliance: Adhering to health and safety procedures, industry standards, and codes of practice 1.
Emergency Response: Participating in out-of-hours emergency on-call rota 1.
Technicians need to have specific qualifications, such as CCN1/CMA1/CMA3 with MET1 or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel 1. They also require effective customer service skills and a full, current manual driving license 1.
