Buildings Inspector – Stafford/Hybrid– Salary circa £39k, additional leave and extensive employee benefits
A great opportunity has arisen for a Buildings Inspector to join a growing and reputable property and construction company, based in the Stafford area.
My client is an excellent and well-respected name within their particular sector and the role is part of their long term housing strategy.
As the buildings inspector you will be part of a well established and growing maintenance and compliance team.
· You will be responsible for conducting in depth technical building inspections including pre/post inspections and stock condition surveys.
· You’ll need sound working knowledge of current building regulations. construction industry safety regulations, alongside knowledge of relevant British Standards and codes of practice.
· Use your diagnostic skills to propose solutions to effectively deal with defects.
· Develop detailed specifications of work based on inspection findings and raise works orders.
· Provide technical support for all reactive repairs, maintenance, disrepair, complaints, HHSRS and stock improvement works to ensure the Groups assets are maintained.
Responsive Repairs Supervisor Requirements:
· HNC qualified within a construction related discipline, with at least 3 years Post Qualifying Experience.
· Experience of defect diagnosis within domestic buildings.
· Knowledge of environmental and property legislation, with a focus on housing.
· Knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety regulations
· Understanding of relevant Statutory Regulations relating to Housing providers; including, but not limited to: Asbestos awareness, Building Regulations, Gas and Electrical safety, CDM.
· Effective interpersonal, skills with ability to communicate with customers, staff and external contractors at all levels.
· Full UK Driving Licence
