About the Role

This is an I&C Gas Engineer role with impact. You’ll be out in the field installing, exchanging, maintaining and removing metering assets — from standard meters to correctors and AMR devices — for a portfolio of high-value commercial clients.

Expect a dynamic patch and the chance to grow in a business that takes progression seriously. Based ideally around BH, DT, SP, or SO postcodes, you’ll be covering a critical region with a strong support network behind you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, exchange, remove and maintain I&C gas meters and correctors

  • Commission and install AMR systems

  • Deliver all work to the highest Health & Safety standards

  • Participate in on-call and weekend rotas as required

  • Conduct thorough site risk assessments

  • Maintain equipment, stock, and vehicle roadworthiness

  • Communicate clearly with planning and management teams

  • Complete all work reports and documentation accurately and on time

  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and safety-first thinking

What We’re Looking For

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and independent working ability

  • Experience in gas metering for commercial/industrial environments

  • Comfortable using tablets, mobile devices and digital work systems

  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety

  • Strong team player with excellent communication

Essential Qualifications:

  • CMA1 & MET4

  • CMET1 & CMET2

  • REGT1 & 2 (optional)

  • ICPN1

  • TPCP1 / TPCP1A

Salary & Benefits

  • Paid overtime, on-call, and weekend working
