About the Engineer Role
This Engineer role is rotational (4 on / 4 off), covering days with extended flexibility on weekend start times (production-free days). You’ll be hands-on across mechanical and electrical systems, health and safety compliance, documentation control, and problem solving—while also helping shape smarter, leaner processes.
Key Responsibilities
Respond rapidly to breakdowns and provide clear feedback to production
Deliver preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and extend asset life
Maintain and update the PPM system, documentation, and contractor logs
Lead by example on Health & Safety—audits, updates, investigations, and reports
Work on the installation and commissioning of new machinery
Be “audit-ready” at all times with full compliance on safety and standards
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in engineering or production systems
Keep communication open with production, management and external suppliers
What the Ideal Engineer Will Bring
City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
18th Edition (or willing to work towards it)
Hands-on experience with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding (TIG/MMA)
Knowledge of food production safety standards (HACCP/Food Safety Level 2)
IPAF and Permit to Work certified
Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working across departments
