You’ll be joining an established engineering team on-site that knows the plant inside out and keeps production running at full capacity, 24/7.
About the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and improvement of all electrical systems on-site.
From scheduled preventative maintenance to emergency breakdown response, your mission is to keep the plant safe, running, and fully compliant.
You’ll be working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation (including nights and weekends) – so flexibility and reliability are key.
Shift - 4 on 4 off shifts (days & nights)
Key Responsibilities
Carry out electrical maintenance and installation works across plant and machinery
Respond rapidly to breakdowns and faults, troubleshooting effectively under pressure
Work on general factory electrical systems including control panels, drives, motors, and sensors
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with compliance regulations
Conduct risk assessments and adhere to Health & Safety procedures
Collaborate with mechanical and production teams to minimise downtime
Support shift coverage when required due to absence or business need
Ensure the working area is always left safe, clean and functional
What We're Looking For
Recognised apprenticeship or formal electrical qualification (C&G / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
Extensive experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in an industrial/process environment
Knowledge of inverter drives and basic PLC logic
Comfortable working independently and as part of a multi-skilled team
High attention to detail and fault-finding skills
Calm and methodical under pressure
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Commitment to continuous improvement and safe working practices
