Rutland – Salary circa £27k to £30k dependent on experience plus host of employee benefits

We have a rare opportunity for a Estates Maintenance Engineer / Plumber for a prestigious client set in extensive and stunning grounds with extensive infrastructure and picturesque gardens.

The estate covers 120 acres, almost one mile apart at its extremities and interspersed by town housing, retail and light industrial properties. It includes 56 acres of playing fields and a built estate of 75 buildings, of which 23 are listed (Grades I – II).

We are seeking a self-motivated and reliable qualified Estates Maintenance Engineer / Plumber for predominantly reactive tasks around the estate and the Maintenance Engineer also assist with PPM tasks and small project works.

Working in a mix of both domestic and commercial buildings, undertaking a schedule of maintenance such as:

  • Installation of new pipework, services and fittings as required

  • Repair leaks as required

  • Repair to guttering

The Estates Maintenance Engineer / Plumber should have a general maintenance background.

Does this sound like you?

  • Plumbing Qualification - City & Guilds Plumbing Qualification (Preferred)

  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience

  • Valid UK Driving Licence (Required)

  • CSCS (Preferred)

  • Practical knowledge and experience of working with heating & ventilation systems, water hygiene and plumbing

  • Ability to diagnose faults and report findings accurately

  • Sufficient level of literacy and IT knowledge in order to complete basic records and receive jobs through the CAFM System

  • Knowledge of above and below ground foul and rainwater drainage systems

  • Experience in a variety of pipework, iron, copper, lead, plastic and associated fittings.
