II have a rare opportunity with one the fastest growing full fibre broadband companies.

I have a FTTH Field Engineering Supervisor position available in a business investing in a world class, full-fibre broadband network across the East of England and East Midlands.

The FTTH Fibre Engineering Supervisor will oversee field based engineers across part of their Norfolk area operations.

Reporting into a Field Operations Manager, the Fibre Engineering Supervisor will take responsibility for managing and developing a team of field engineers, as well as ensuring successful customer installs of my client’s rapidly growing fibre network infrastructure.

They are now rapidly expanding their roll out across Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Rutland, Northants, Lincolnshire and Notts, and beyond!

What you’ll be doing

  • Fibre Engineering Supervisor will take full responsibility for supervision and quality control of onsite works

  • Work closely with project teams and the supply chain to ensure technical requirements are understood and met

  • Act as subject expert in Health and Safety to champion best practice across your engineering team

  • Sponsor and support new ways of working which would improve delivery and meet agreed deadlines for delivery of project programme

Does this sound like you?

We’re looking for a field operation professional, ideally with at least 3 years’ experience in field-based operational teams and leading field engineers.

  • Knowledge of fibre network technologies and their deployment

  • With strong leadership and mentoring skills, as well as experience of working with key stakeholders, you should also have an understanding of what great customer services look like

  • Knowledge of and the ability to develop Health and Safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements to manage a safe operation

  • Experience with field-based fault finding and repair techniques, including remote diagnostics

  • Knowledge of installation standards, specifications and methods supporting Pole and Ducted infrastructure

  • Ability to perform site surveys and establish appropriate installation routes and methods.
