POP (Point of Presence) Planner. 

About the Client: one of the UK's fastest growing full fibre broadband companies.

We are working with a fast growing full fibre broadband company who are bringing next level broadband to the East of England and East Midlands, a company where the opportunities are massive! 

They are looking for a Fibre Project Planner. 

You will be the subject matter expert and act as the POP point of contact for the Planning Team, POP Delivery Team, Build Teams and external partners. 

As a POP Planner you’ll be responsible for capturing external network and customer requirements including site visits, designing robust supportable and fit for purpose solutions to achieve the brief of customer needs or project requirements. 

This includes the delivery of civils and cable works through supervision and management of internal and external stakeholders (e.g. local authorities, other utilities, customer and other internal/external groups). 

The Fibre Project Planner will be responsible for assessing suggested locations for their suitability as POP locations, reviewing and estimating cost to enable access to existing network.  

Your knowledge will be used to highlight any issues that could cause difficulties during the planning and build phases.

They can provide training to achieve the below accreditations if not already held. 

Minimum Requirements:  

SA002 – Underground safety.

NRSWA Unit 2 (O1) – Signing, lighting, and guarding. 

Beneficial: 

• NRSWA Unit 1 to 8

• SA006 – Safe working in Civils

• Experience in telecom fibre and copper networks

• Experience of telecom civils survey and planning

• Experience or working knowledge of GIS/PNI platforms
