Do you have experience in managing field-based operations?

We are working exclusively with a business investing in a world class, full-fibre broadband network to serve customers in the East of England and East Midlands.

They’re now looking for an experienced Field Fibre Manager to oversee their Lincoln / south Lincolnshire area field based operations and engineering teams.

My client is revolutionising the full-fibre broadband network with a category-leading brand, next-generation technology, differentiated products and services that their customers love.

Reporting into the Head of Operations, you’ll take responsibility for overseeing fibre installation, customer connections and ongoing maintenance of the Fibre Optic Network.

The Field Fibre Manager will manage the field operational teams to optimize how they deliver their solutions to customers.

Experience in onboarding and developing field engineers would be beneficial as, assisted by Field Engineering Supervisors, you will grow and develop your engineering teams across Lincolnshire.

The role

Key to the Field Fibre Manager role is to develop safe, efficient and effective methods to installing customers services through Pole and Ducted infrastructure.

You will ensure the delivery of an exceptional experience to my client’s customers throughout the entire installation and activation journey.

The Field Fibre Manager will lead teams of fibre installation and maintenance professionals, including trainees, to ensure exceptional service levels are delivered.

The person

We’re looking for a field operation professional with at least 3 years’ experience in managing field-based operational teams.

Knowledge of telecommunications and fibre network technologies and their deployment would be useful, though not essential.

With strong leadership and mentoring skills, as well as experience of working with key stakeholders, you should also have an understanding of what great customer services look like.

Knowledge of and the ability to develop Health and Safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements to manage a safe operation.

Experience with field-based fault finding and repair techniques, including remote diagnostics.
