Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Maintenance & Service Delivery: Manage the maintenance, testing, and service delivery of our fleet of traction and rolling stock, ensuring optimal performance.
- Technical Incident Management: Lead the resolution of technical incidents, ensuring fleet operations are not disrupted.
- Customer & Supplier Management: Liaise with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers regarding technical modifications, repairs, and fleet management issues.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all fleet maintenance and repairs align with industry standards and legislative requirements. Maintain accurate records of fleet performance, reliability, and maintenance.
- Asset Management: Implement and manage asset management systems, ensuring all information is available for audit as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and track fleet performance to identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Technical/Engineering Qualification: HNC/HND or equivalent in a technical or engineering discipline.
- Experience: Strong experience in managing traction and rolling stock and working with maintenance contracts.
- IT Proficiency: Familiarity with railway mainframe systems (TOPS/R2) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Problem Solving: Excellent skills in technical fault diagnosis and resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Team Leadership: Experience working within a team and leading projects to successful completion.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety-critical roles and the ability to ensure compliance with safety management systems.
