Our client is a veteran owned nationwide Health and Safety Consultancy based in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
They are now looking for a Health & Safety Assessor to join their team.
The Company has a strong forces friendly ethos with many of its’ current staff being former member of the Armed Forces.
The Health & Safety Assessor will undertake assessments in line with SSIP Core Criteria and standards on behalf of my client’s Safety-Scheme, a full member of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) forum.
The role:
- Undertake assessments of the Health & Safety modules completed by suppliers to verify compliance against defined standards and codes of practice, to include the SSIP Core Criteria
- Undertake assessments of the CSR modules completed by suppliers to verify compliance against defined standards and codes of practice
- Liaise with Suppliers regarding their assessments via email or telephone, as necessary
- Liaise with the Safety-Scheme administration team with regards to the outcome of assessments
- Undertake electronic filing accurately
- Liaise with the CDM Director with regards to workload, activities etc and requesting any assistance where necessary.
What we’re looking for:
•NEBOSH General Certificate
•SSIP Assessor Training Certificate. Active CPD
•Experience of undertaking supplier assessments to SSIP Core Criteria standards. Ability to undertake assessments within the ‘Contractor’ and ‘SSIP Approved’ scopes. Good knowledge current health and safety legislation, including the CDM Regulations 2015
•Sound understanding of supply chain pre qualification processes
•Proficient IT skills – competent with Microsoft.
