Our client is a provider of fully funded, turnkey data-as-a-service solutions for the water industry and has recently secured a landmark 20-year smart metering contract—the first fully financed programme of its kind in the sector.
Due to high growth and long-term programme demands, they are seeking an Interim Commercial Finance Manager to join their Senior Management Team.
The Opportunity
This senior role leads financial management for the business and acts as deputy to the Finance Director. You’ll partner with commercial and operational teams, provide financial rigour on new opportunities, and shape financial strategy across a major long-term metering programme.

Key Focus Areas
Financial leadership across a multi-year, high-value metering programme
Finance lead for bids, tenders, pricing and modelling
Monthly performance insight, commentary and board reporting
Scenario modelling, investment appraisal and risk evaluation
Budgeting, forecasting and strategic long-term financial planning
Ideal Candidate
Significant experience in commercial finance
Advanced financial modelling and commercial analysis skills
Strong investment appraisal / project finance capability
Background in complex, high-value bids/tenders
Experience within water, utilities, engineering, construction or infrastructure
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA preferred)

Inside IR35 (no contractors)
£70k–£100k dependent on experience
Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (40hrs)
Home-based with travel to London and the South East
