About the Retrofit Operations Manager
Based in Royston, the Retrofit Operations Manager will be the operational lead for all PAS 2030/2035 schemes across the branch. Working closely with surveyors, coordinators, site managers and commercial teams, you’ll take ownership of performance, compliance, and quality delivery. From managing PAS audits and subcontractor compliance to supporting tenders and driving HSEQ standards, this role offers the perfect mix of strategy, leadership, and hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of PAS 2030/2035 retrofit projects from pre-construction to final audit
Act as the lead operational contact for retrofit and decarbonisation across the branch
Prepare PAS documentation, compliance strategies, and audit schedules
Engage directly with Retrofit Designers, Assessors, and Coordinators to ensure technical compliance
Build and manage high-performing delivery teams including site managers, surveyors, and retrofit coordinators
Support the commercial team in pricing, procurement, and performance tracking
Liaise with clients and attend high-level meetings to report on programme progress
Carry out regular site inspections and implement best-in-class health, safety, and quality control
Ensure energy performance measures (insulation, heat pumps, ventilation, etc.) are scoped and delivered in full compliance
Manage all external PAS 2030/2035 and MCS audits and certification processes
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years' experience in delivering retrofit or decarbonisation projects
Proven knowledge of PAS 2030/2035 standards and audit processes
Ideally qualified to Level 5 in Retrofit Coordination, Energy/Sustainability, or a related field
Retrofit Coordinator or Assessor qualifications are highly desirable
Strong P&L, HSEQ, and project leadership background
Proven ability to manage multiple teams, workstreams, and stakeholder relationships
Comfortable representing the business at senior client level
Proactive problem-solver with a passion for quality and compliance
Full UK driving licence
