It’s a great opportunity for someone to grow their own transport department across a group or world leading schools.
The fleet consists of pupil transport and for school operations (vehicles, drivers, compliance), including the ‘grey car’ fleet comprising 10 minibuses and 30 vans, tractors, etc.
The Group Transport Manager will set up, launch and run some additional home-to-school and school-to-home bus services for pupils, ready for 1 September 2024.
You will be responsible for leasing minibuses, recruitment, compliance and manage drivers, negotiate vehicle maintenance contracts, procure transport management software and produce suitable risk assessments.
The Transport Manager will manage and maintain the minibus fleet in full compliance with all vehicle and driver regulations and Health and Safety law.
£42k PRO RATA 35 weeks per year (mainly school term time)
Does this sound like you?
· Clean driving licence
· D1 / PSV licence (desirable)
· Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers (desirable)
· Prior experience of running passenger transport operations
· Knowledge of applicable transport regulations
· Strong IT skills (including specialist passenger transport software)
· Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
