The Senior Project Manager & Deputy Head of Projects is the go-to authority for project delivery, ensuring complex burner and combustion system orders are fulfilled on time, to spec, and within budget.
You’ll act as the primary customer contact, manage cross-functional delivery teams, maintain detailed cost control, and oversee full technical and commercial lifecycle activities.
This role combines technical oversight with high-level client engagement — and positions you as the natural successor to the Head of Projects.
Key Responsibilities
Own the entire project lifecycle — from customer order to post-delivery support
Define project scope, confirm specs, and review contracts against technical quotations
Perform and oversee engineering calculations to guide system design
Lead coordination across engineering, drafting, procurement, manufacturing, and QA
Maintain accurate project P&Ls, material costs, and delivery schedules
Conduct project risk reviews, manage change orders, and resolve issues
Communicate regularly with international clients, end users, and internal stakeholders
Visit customer sites for project meetings, inspections, and commissioning support
What We’re Looking For
Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related Engineering discipline
Extensive experience in manufacturing and/or capital equipment project delivery
Strong technical understanding of engineering principles — combustion industry knowledge is a plus
Commercially astute with a proven track record in client-facing project roles
Skilled at managing P&Ls, project scope, and risk
Ability to travel internationally for project delivery or client meetings
