RecruitME are working exclusively with a people centric organisation that supports and maintains a variety of services in the Newark area who are recruiting for a senior Health and Safety Advisor (Officer)

The successful candidate you will be responsible for promoting compliance in all aspects of health, safety and welfare at work and ensure my client complies with appropriate legislation and regulations.

The main focus of the senior Health and Safety Advisor will be in delivering health and safety services within Housing and Environmental Services.

Key aspects of the role include:

•Providing advice, support/guidance, training and the delivery of an agreed proactive inspection/audit programme.

•Providing technical and operational support to the wider Health & Safety function.

•Ensuring the day-to-day delivery of an effective health and safety service.

•Continually reviewing the systems and processes

•Ensuring robust risk assessments are in place, and that any accidents, work-related ill health and violent incidents are investigated and actions identified to prevent reoccurrence.

What we’re looking for:

The successful senior Health and Safety Advisor candidate will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and / or a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.

You should also have experience of providing safety support and advice across a range of functions, including in a construction or housing environment.
