Salary Dependant on Experience and will be based in our client's Grantham Office.

We are searching for an experienced Shipping Coordinator who possesses a strong understanding of commercial, legal and financial export documentation and procedures.

Our global client is looking for an adaptable and dynamic Shipping Coordinator who is a thorough professional and will be part of their office team at the Grantham site.

Shipping Coordinator skills:

  • Knowledge of Export procedures and freight terms. As per Institute of Export and International Trade (Level 3 Customs Practitioner Award or equivalent).

  • Knowledge of COOs, T1’s and EUR1s etc...

  • Understanding of Incoterms 2020 Rules on Exporting

  • Appreciation of changes regarding Brexit

The Shipping Coordinator will build and enhance strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain and improve logistics service levels to meet customers’ expectations.

Shipping Coordinator duties will involve:

  • Preparing the packing list with the use of internal systems and reports

  • Preparing export documentation in accordance with required international shipping standards and customs requirements

  • Organisation of packing schedule for the Despatch Foreman

  • Contacting freight forwarders to arrange freight collection

  • Ensuring all freight is collected in a timely manner and updating customers accordingly

  • Liaising with Freight Forwarders to ensure best prices are received for all freight consignments
