Retrofit Works Manager

​A Retrofit Works Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of retrofit works on-site, ensuring that energy efficiency upgrades and building improvements are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. This role is typically found in housing associations, local authorities, or construction firms involved in large-scale retrofit programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery Oversight

Manage the day-to-day delivery of retrofit works across multiple sites or projects.

Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.

Programme and Resource Management

Develop and maintain delivery schedules, ensuring alignment with programme timelines.

Allocate labour, materials, and equipment efficiently.

Quality and Compliance

Ensure all works comply with PAS 2030/2035, building regulations, and health and safety standards.

Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality assurance checks.

Stakeholder Coordination

Liaise with Retrofit Coordinators, Project Managers, residents, and client representatives.

Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.

Health and Safety Leadership

Promote a strong safety culture across all sites.

Ensure all teams follow CDM regulations and site-specific safety protocols.

Reporting and Documentation

Maintain accurate records of works completed, issues encountered, and corrective actions taken.

Support reporting to senior management and funding bodies.
