Site Manager - Retrofit Projects

​A Site Manager – Retrofit Projects is responsible for managing the on-site delivery of retrofit works, ensuring that energy efficiency upgrades to existing buildings are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards. This role is crucial in housing, commercial, or public sector retrofit programmes, especially those aligned with decarbonisation and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Operations Management

Oversee daily site activities, ensuring smooth coordination of trades and contractors.

Manage site logistics, including access, deliveries, and material storage.

Health and Safety Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. CDM 2015).

Conduct site inductions, risk assessments, and regular safety audits.

Quality Assurance

Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with retrofit standards such as PAS 2030/2035.

Conduct inspections and resolve defects or non-compliance issues.

Programme Coordination

Work closely with Retrofit Coordinators, Delivery Managers, and client representatives.

Ensure works are delivered on time and within budget.

Resident and Stakeholder Engagement

Liaise with residents to ensure clear communication and minimal disruption.

Address concerns and provide updates on progress.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.

Report regularly to project managers and programme leads.
