Decarbonisation Site Lead

​A Decarbonisation Site Lead is a senior on-site role responsible for managing the delivery of decarbonisation projects at the ground level. These projects typically involve implementing energy efficiency measures, low-carbon technologies, and renewable energy systems in buildings or infrastructure to reduce carbon emissions.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Leadership

Oversee all on-site activities related to decarbonisation works, including insulation, heating upgrades, solar PV, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient delivery.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations (e.g. CDM 2015).

Conduct site inductions, risk assessments, and enforce safe working practices.

Technical Oversight

Ensure installations meet design specifications, technical standards, and decarbonisation goals.

Liaise with engineers, retrofit coordinators, and energy consultants.

Quality Assurance

Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials.

Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with standards such as PAS 2035 and relevant building regulations.

Stakeholder and Resident Engagement

Act as the main point of contact on-site for clients, residents, and project managers.

Communicate progress, manage expectations, and resolve issues promptly.

Reporting and Documentation

Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress updates, and incident reports.

Report regularly to the Decarbonisation Project Manager or Programme Lead.
