Energy Efficiency Site Manager

​An Energy Efficiency Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the on-site implementation of energy efficiency upgrades in buildings. This role is crucial in retrofit, refurbishment, and sustainability-focused construction projects, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with energy performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management

Supervise day-to-day site operations for energy efficiency projects (e.g. insulation, HVAC upgrades, LED lighting, solar PV).

Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery.

Health and Safety

Enforce health and safety standards and conduct regular site inspections.

Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and site-specific risk assessments.

Technical Oversight

Ensure installation of energy efficiency measures meets design specifications and industry standards (e.g. PAS 2030/2035).

Liaise with energy assessors, retrofit coordinators, and engineers.

Quality Assurance

Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure high standards.

Conduct snagging and handover inspections.

Resident and Stakeholder Communication

Act as the on-site point of contact for residents, clients, and project managers.

Provide updates and manage expectations throughout the works.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain site diaries, progress reports, and compliance records.

Report regularly to project or programme managers.
