We’re recruiting an Engineering Team Lead to play a key leadership role within a high-performing manufacturing and food processing environment. Reporting directly to the Engineering Shift Manager, you’ll lead a team of mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers, ensuring plant reliability, safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

·         Lead and support mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers on shift

·         Deputise for the Engineering Shift Manager when required

·         Prioritise and allocate engineering work to maintain production efficiency

·         Drive preventative maintenance using CMMS / SAP PPM systems

·         Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults

·         Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and permit-to-work systems

·         Support training and development of engineers and semi-skilled staff

·         Work with contractors and visiting engineers on improvements and upgrades

·         Maintain engineering documentation and records

·         Promote 5S standards and environmental compliance

What We’re Looking For

·         Time-served fitter with minimum 4 years industrial experience

·         Strong mechanical or electrical background

·         Previous supervisory or leadership experience

·         Excellent fault-finding and decision-making ability

·         IT literate with CMMS / SAP experience advantageous

·         Organised, proactive and safety-focused

Desirable Experience

·         Food manufacturing or poultry processing experience

·         Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills
