Sleaford – Up to £45k (18 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
RecruitME are working exclusively with a people centric organisation that supports and maintains three fleets of aircraft within the UK Military Flying Training System.
We are recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to be based at RAF Cranwell, near to Sleaford in Lincolnshire.
This Interim HSE vacancy is on an 18 month fixed term contract. Hybrid working considered on a case by case basis.
The Interim Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor will have responsibilities at my client’s offices and facilities.
Please note, this HSE Advisor role is NOT responsible for aviation safety, it is a generalist HSE role that is not related to aircraft at RAF Cranwell.
The role of the HSE Advisor is to maintain Health, Safety and Environmental practices, procedures, and policies to reduce the risk of accidents, injuries, and health related problems across all my client’s locations in line with existing legislation and best practice.
To be successful in the role you will need experience in Health, Safety & Environmental Management, HSE Audits, HSE Investigations, Risk Assessments, COSHH and RIDDOR.
Key aspects of the role include:
Leading safety awareness training sessions for employees on topics such as safe working procedures, hazardous materials, and accident prevention techniques
Regular HSE Site/Activity audits
Communicating with other departments within the company regarding safety issues that may affect them
Conducting investigations into accidents, injuries, or illnesses in order to identify causes and recommend solutions for preventing recurrence
Performing risk assessments to determine the potential for accidents or injuries in specific activities or work settings
Monitoring compliance with safety regulations to ensure that workers’ rights are protected
