We are seeking a proactive and technically minded Sales Engineer to join a respected, family-run company with a long-standing reputation for quality and innovation. Based in Lincolnshire, our client designs, manufactures, and supplies a wide range of engineered materials handling products, operating nationally and internationally across three specialist brands.

The Role
As a Sales Engineer, you will support the Sales Manager in achieving commercial targets by managing existing customer accounts, identifying and converting new business opportunities, and offering marketing and technical support.
This role will involve regular UK travel with occasional international visits. When not travelling, you will be based at the Grantham office, with hybrid working available once you are confident with the company’s products and systems (minimum one day per week in the office).
Key Responsibilities
Manage existing customer accounts through site visits, calls, and emails
Develop new business through direct outreach and social media engagement
Provide technical support and guidance to customers throughout the sales cycle
Prepare bespoke customer quotations and process orders
Maintain and update CRM records accurately
Support trade show attendance and customer events
Contribute to marketing activity, including website content and social media
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a motivated Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer or Technical Sales professional with:
2–5 years’ experience in technical sales or account management
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive, solutions-focused approach to customer needs
A background in engineering, equipment, or materials handling (preferred but not essential)
A track record of achieving sales growth through effective account management and new business development
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:15 – 17:00 (with 30-minute lunch)
Friday: 08:30 – 12:30
Holiday entitlement: 25 days plus statutory bank holidays
