We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Installation Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for installing Building Maintenance Units (BMUs), gantries, rail systems, monorail systems and steel framework on high rise buildings across the UK. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will offer you the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects.
Installation Engineer Duties
Interpret construction design drawings to ensure the installation of steel frames is set out and assembled correctly
Witness concrete cast elements, taking evidence and passing to office for documentation
Liaise with site management to resolve issues, including working alongside other trades on a construction site
Accept deliveries and coordinate movement of materials around site
Carry out Quality assurance checks in Grantham factory on BMUs prior to sending to site
Work alongside site crane team to lift BMU in multiple parts into position on the roof area
Assemble electrical & hydraulic elements of the BMU
Assisting a 3rd party Insurance inspector in carrying out a LOLER Thorough Examination which will include full function testing and commissioning
Competent and confident in use of handheld power tools
Key Skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
Physically fit and able to work at height and in a variety of weather conditions
Full clean driving licence
Willingness to travel and work away from home
